British’s top supercar maker enters into SUV territory with their first high-riding DBX model. Aston Martin DBX claims to give a sporty performance, thrill you with their latest technology and driving dynamics thus, joining the list of now growing luxurious SUVs like the Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne, and Ferrari’s upcoming SUV.


Engine and transmission:

Aston DBX used Mercedes-AMG’s M177 4.0 litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a 9-speed automatic torque converter offering 542 bhp and 700Nm of torque, can propel a car from 0-62kmph in 4.5 seconds and attain a top speed of 291kmph which promise to be a dynamic and versatile off-roader. It has an active all-wheel drive installed with adjustable air suspension for multi-terrain driving and electronic adaptive damping for every wheel, has double-wishbone front suspension combined with the multi-link rear axle. And has an active center transfer case directs torque to the front axle when it is required and an electronic rear limited-slip differential.

Exterior features:

Aston Martin changed their design language form with a unique body architecture and proportions resembling their real style. DBX weighs 2245kg, is light, and sporty to drive by bonding aluminium to its chassis. It gets large grille at the front, along with sizable Aston Martin’s badge and muscular looking curvature of the bonnet, providing a distinctive and pretty athletic stare. The sides are sculptured and have neat feature lines, increases its elegance with the addition of the hidden window seal on frameless doors and glass B-pillar finishers. They have paid quite an attention to aerodynamics as its front two duct channels air through the front wheel arch and along the side, help to reduce both drag and lift while also cooling the brakes by surrounding DRLs. And at the back, there’s a little glance on the tailgate while the rear LED light with curve line attracts in the dark, it doesn’t have a rear wash wipe because the rear roof wing splits the airflow which maintains a clean window as the Aston’s aero works apparently, it’s self-cleaning.

DBX is a 5-seater splendid SUV that provides a sumptuously luxurious experience for every occupant. It has vast space in the cabin as compared to other Aston models with a panoramic sunroof, adjustable seats, commanding driving position, providing the driver a clear view of the road for tight maneuvering. It will let you feel the luxurious interior with the choice of veneers, from contemporary wood to carbon fibre and natural flax composite. And you can experience 64 colors of ambient cabin lighting, have a 12-inch driver digital display, and 10.25-inch screen in the center of console thus, highlighting the dashboard.
